BUNDLED UP: THE ART OF LAYERING

Y'all, it has been CHILLY here in the Big D. Temps have been staying in the 40s-50s during the day and dropping to the the low 30s at night. For Texas girls, this is FREEZING! It even snowed last night. Say what?!

With chilly temps, comes lots and lots of clothes. To keep from looking like a giant puff pull, I try and layer appropriately with items that can come off and come back on depending on where I am. The easiest way to do this is to wear a flannel or printed button down under a plain sweater. If the heat is a little too high inside, you can take off the sweater and still look chic! Next up with the layering is adding a scarf. I'm normally not a fan of mixing prints because it can go wrong SO fast. However, my only exception is leopard print + plaid. It's one of my favorite combos and I think they compliment each other without overpowering the other. To top off my layers, I like to add a warm [but cute] jacket. I can't even begin to explain how warm my leather jacket is! I used to have a decent "pleather" jacket but it is just not near as warm or good looking as a real leather jacket. I was hesitant at the prices of real leather, but it is truly worth the investment in my opinion!

Hope everyone stays warm! And please, do yourself a favor, and do not walk out the door without proper layering. You'll be happy you did!
