GIRLS NIGHT IN : FREEZE WARNING APPROVED

What happens after a busy week at work and a sudden 40 degree temperature drop in Dallas? A Girls' Night In ofcourse! Not sure which Rom-Com to watch or which Essie nail polish to choose for your DIY mani? Don't fret -- we've got you covered.

THE PERFECT CHICK-FLICK

When it comes to the perfect chick flick for your Girls Night In, there are only two words you need remember: Nancy Meyers. But seriously. I could watch Nancy Meyer's films over and over again (which I'm not going to lie, I do often).

• It's Complicated (Hands down my ALL-TIME favorite movie. I want to be Meryl Streep in this movie. Well, sans the affair with my ex-husband. I just want her house, her restaurant, and her white linen pants).
• The Holiday (Nothing says Girls Night In right before the holidays like the ultimate holiday film. Ladies, there is no explanation needed for this one).
• Something's Gotta Give (Oh, Diane Keaton. A few weeks ago, I was dressed in all white (linen pants, over-sized button down dress shirt) and W complimented me saying that I looked like Diane Keaton from Something's Gotta Give. I don't know what I was more proud of -- W's reference to one of the best movies ever made or the flattering Diane Keaton comparison. I just love it).
• The Parent Trap (If you want to take it back to the 90's with a Nancy Meyers classic, this is your movie. I mean, how cute was Lindsay Lohan. Bless her heart).

THE DIY MANI 

Now onto the Mani. While choosing the perfect color for your mani is incredibly important, the most important part of your mani is the Top Coat. Luckily, God gifted me with steady hands so I rarely get professional manicures anymore. I prefer to do them myself and there has been a lot of trial and error with top coats (OPI never lasted long enough, Essie was too thin, and I can't even count the lost minutes waiting for other brands to dry).

The one that changed my life forever? Seche Vite Top Coat. It dries in minutes (no exaggeration) and leaves your nails with the perfect gloss finish. I can't tell you how many times I have been asked "Did you get a manicure yesterday? Your nails look so good!" This is all thanks to Seche Vite.
