TGIF // BEDROOM INSPIRATION

TGIF y'all! Do y'all have any fun weekend plans? W and I are going to the Alabama Shakes concert tonight -- so excited -- then to a friend's birthday party on Saturday night. Should be a fun and eventful weekend for us!

I thought I would take a break from everything fashion to bring you some interior design inspiration! I seriously love interior design and often times regret not pursuing a career in it. I grew up constantly rearranging my room and circling everything I loved in magazines (aka PB Teen) for my bedroom dreaming of how I would update it with the newest and cutest things.

Honestly, I loved interior design way before I fell in love with fashion. I've actually looked into getting my Associates degree in interior design at FIDM here in the city but sadly I (a) don't have the time for it and (b) cannot financially afford to put myself through school. A girl can dream right? Looks like I'll just stick to creating dream spaces via my computer ;)

As you can tell, much like my fashion style, I am drawn to bohemian vibes with mid century pieces. I love mixing patterns and textures to create a beautiful space. However, mixing patterns and textures does not just mean throwing everything you like into a room. You need to be thoughtful about it! The key to mixing patterns and textures is to stick within the same color family. You don't want your space to end up looking like just a bunch of mismatched furniture and accessories!
