FLORAL BOHEMIAN MAXI DRESS
Happy Monday, y'all! W and I had such a great weekend - what about you?! Although we didn't have any major plans it was just what I needed. W worked a little late on Friday so I caught up on some of my shows (aka Criminal Minds and Law Order SVU with a side of Gilmore Girls.) We slept in on Saturday which was not planned but apparently our bodies needed it! It felt SO good! Literally I checked my phone thinking it would be 7am and it was 9:30am!! I rarely sleep past 8am nowadays so it was so refreshing to get 10+ hours of sleep.
We had a lazy morning and finished a movie and picked up some of our favorite pastries then deep cleaned our apartment. Am I the only person who finds cleaning therapeutic?! I actually had fun vacuuming every nook and cranny haha. We had a little date night that evening at our favorite local bar/restaurant, Palmers, which was the perfect end to Saturday.
Then on Sunday morning we grabbed brunch at another neighborhood favorite, The Elite Cafe. W particularly loves this place as it has a New Orleans flair. Although we both agree that they could use some more spices to their dishes. I don't know what it is about Californians, but I swear they are afraid of spices! We're all about bringing some heat to our meals. ;) We closed out the weekend at our besties place over in Oakland with dinner and a movie. It was seriously the perfect weekend and I feel well rested for a full week ahead.
Now onto this amazing floral maxi dress! When I first put the dress on, I felt a little "Little House on the Prairie" but I couldn't help but be obsessed with the amazing floral embroidery. I actually wore this exact outfit to work last week and I had a colleague comment on it saying it was a "breath of fresh air." Now I'm not positive on what she meant by this, I couldn't help but take it as a compliment. It really is a gorgeous dress and you can't help but feel confident in it!
