NEW ORLEANS JAZZ FEST // PART 1

I. LOVE. LIVE. MUSIC. Seriously, I don't think there's anything better than that! Music festivals are by far one of my favorite past times (besides online shopping.) This past weekend, I had the privilege of attending my first New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival! Even with the torrential downpours, it was one of my favorite weekends ever! First of all, New Orleans is one of my top 3 favorite cities (which also include Austin, my hometown, and San Francisco.) And second of all, a weekend spent with great friends, music, and bourbon street is always a good time!

Music festivals are definitely all about music, obviously, but you also have to dress the part! No, I do not mean bring your ugly technicolor furry boots and other rave gear. Yuck! You can however, bring out all your distressed denim shorts, fringe tops, floppy hats, and appropriate crop tops! Even if bohemian is not your style, you can still rock your usual style and add boho accessories such as gladiator sandals, long necklaces, and beaded bracelets!

For Jazz Fest day 1, I decided to rock my new Romeo & Juliet romper -- YES, that is a romper!! I added my denim jacket since it was a little cool and wore my old H&M booties since it was supposed to rain in the afternoon (which it did - started down pouring right in the middle of the WILCO concert!) I completed my look with my fringe Gucci bag and pink tassel necklace! It was a perfect comfortable, boho-chic, festival look!
