HALLOWEEN TABLESCAPE : CHIC & FESTIVE
There are so many different themes to go with when deciding which kind of Halloween party you want to throw. This year, we decided to focus on the little accents that can make your Halloween party chic yet still festive.
We started creating our festive tablescape by placing a Silver Spiderweb Table Runner lengthwise along the dining room table. We love how the table runner's subtle design doesn't take away from the overall aesthetic. We decided to use a large Silver Skull Serving Bowl as the table centerpiece, filling it with a fake glitter pumpkin, real baby orange pumpkins, and fun/scary plastic skull heads. The Skulls on the side of the serving bowl compliment perfectly with our Skull Place Card Holders (seriously, how cute are they?! Thank you Homegoods!).
Since there can't be a Halloween tablescape without sweet treats, we decided to try something a little different. A little unexpected. Rather than the traditional caramel covered apples, sticky popcorn balls, and assorted Nestle candies, we chose to bake Gingerbread Skeleton Cookies and Skull Devil's Food Cakes. The only downside to these treats is that they are so cute you won't want to eat them! For serving, we went with classic porcelain plates. (Having a set of white serving plates is essential for any hostess. Affordable plates can be found at Target and World Market. We LOVE entertaining, so we use ours for everything: Cheese Plates, Cookies, Hummus, Fruit, etc. White porcelain really shows off what you are serving - food art is the best art.)
Lastly, we had to get B's Bar Cart in the Halloween spirit! We replaced the everyday serving napkins and straws with festive ones, and added an adorable Witch's Brew decanter. The table is set, the bar is stocked - ready for a Halloween Happy Hour!
